Who is eligible? - Meals on Wheels enables frail older people over the age of 65 and their carers to remain in their own homes and enjoy a level of independence and style of living to suit their individual needs - we enjoy supporting our clients to achieve health and wellbeing! There is no need for a referral, you can contact us directly. Even if you are not eligible for subsidised meals we can still help you. Give us a call today to find out how. 

How does My Aged Care relate to Meals on Wheels? My Aged Care is the government portal for over 65's seeking access to services. They will conduct a comprehensive assessment to determine your needs and eligibility. They can refer people to Meals on Wheels or we can refer to them.

How much does it cost?  The Services are supported by funding from the Australian Government. The costs of the meals are subsidised for those who are eligible and available at a slightly increased cost for the general public. Details of the prices for eligible clients are on our menu page 

How do I pay? - Meals are invoiced fortnightly and can be paid by cash, cheque or bank transfer or credit card. Our delivery volunteers can collect payments when making deliveries or they can be posted.

Who are the volunteers? - We have an amazing team of volunteers who have all conducted police checks and training and all have a great passion to be part of our community and help where needed. We are always interested in growing our team of volunteers so please contact us if you are interested.

Is there a minimum number of meals I have to order? - There is no minimum or maximum number of meals we tailor meals packages to individual needs.

Do I have to get the same meals all the time? - No the meals can arranged on a standing order where the same number of meals are delivered each week or they can be ordered on an ad hoc basis the choice is yours.

Do you cater for dietary needs? - all our meals are prepared in our production kitchen so meals can be tailored to individual dietary needs or preference needs right down to what vegetable you receive. 

What if I go away? - we can suspend your meals service if you go away or are overstocked for any reason we can put the meals on hold and resume delivery when you would like.

When do you deliver? - we deliver Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays in the mornings our volunteers leave Moss Vale between 9am and 9:30am. We can be flexible on these times and if you have a specific request we can usually accommodate.
